Cheryl Cole opened Children In Need with a performance of her new single Promise This.
Wearing a red floaty lace number, Cheryl started with an acoustic rendition of the track before switching into the complex dance routine she had performed on The X Factor just weeks before.
Halfway through the performance, the group of make dancers were also joined by ballet dancers in black tutus and pointé shoes.

Coming back out on stage to talk to hosts Terry Wogan and Tess Daly, Cheryl said: 'This is one of my favourite events.
'There's so many kids in the UK in poverty that really get a little bit overlooked sometimes, so it's amazing to be supporting them.'
Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson all appeared in a video montage pleading with viewers to donate money to Children In Need.

Peter Andre was over at the BT Tower in London with Pudsey Bear speaking to those looking after the phone lines, including Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati and EastEnders actor John Barrowman.
Many celebrities have pledged their support for Children In Need, with The One Show presenters Jason Manford, Alex Jones and Chris Evans having completed various challenges every week on the BBC show.
But tonight it was the turn of Chris Evans, who was chosen by viewers to join window cleaner Paul Wright to clean the windows on one of the highest buildings in Canary Wharf.

There are 4,000 windows and it takes four window cleaners a month to get all the way around the building.
Speaking about the experience, Chris admitted: 'I was definitely more nervous, frightened than I thought I was going to be, I have to admit.'
Through viewers voting for The One Show presenters to do various challenges, the programme raised a staggering £103, 850.80 for Children In Need.
