It's not been a happy time for Miley Cyrus of late.
So what better way for her to work off her woes than with a vigorous workout at a dance class.
The teen star was snapped in Lycra hotpants as she headed to a gym for a class in Los Angeles yesterday.
Miley, 18, looked deep in thought as she carried her trainers and some bottled water to the class.
The class came after a busy weekend for the actress, who was presented with the first-ever Global Action Youth Leadership Award at the Global Action Awards on Friday night.
After being presented with the accolade by Hilary Duff, Miley said: 'I got to tell you that I never thought I would get an award from Hilary Duff. This is like a dream come true to me. She inspired me.'
But that was her silver lining after a turbulent few months which has seen her singer father Billy Ray file for divorce from her mother Tish citing irreconcilable differences.
He then spoke to GQ magazine last week to declare that Hannah Montana - the Disney show that starred Miley and made her a household name - had wrecked his family.
Billy Ray - best known for his 1992 international hit Achy Breaky Heart - told the publication that ' the damn show destroyed my family'.

Cyrus, who played Miley’s father and manager in the show, said he wished the Disney show had never happened.
He said: 'I hate to say it but yes, I do. I’d erase it all in a second if I could.'
He spoke out after a string of scandals sullied the once-wholesome image of his multi-millionaire daughter, including her posing topless for Vanity Fair magazine at the age of 15 and her provocative outfits and pole dancing stage exploits a year later which outraged parents.
A leaked video showing her smoking cannabis last year caused even more controversy.

But according to the Chicago Sun Times, Miley went 'ballistic' over the GQ interview.
A source said: 'Miley cannot believe that Billy Ray dissed the whole ‘Hannah Montana’ experience, given it was that show that bailed him out!
'His career was totally over, in the toilet, financially in big trouble with lots of debts, and ‘Hannah Montana’ put the entire family on easy street.'
