Independent little lady: Expectant mother Jessica Alba proudly looked on as her daughter Honor happily rolled a suitcase around Beverly Hills yesterday
She's going to be a big sister soon and Jessica Alba's daughter Honor already appears to be in training.
The cute two-and-a-half-year-old proved to be quite the independent little lady as she went on a stroll with her mother while trundling a Minnie Mouse suitcase behind her.
Pregnant Jessica proudly looked on as her toddler happily hauled the luggage during an outing to the popular Urth Cafe in Beverly Hills yesterday.
Quite the jetsetter: The youngster enjoyed wheeling her luggage around as her mother topped up the metre
At one point, Jessica went to give her little girl a hand with the roller as she struggled to hold it up.
But Honor looked determined to take care of the baggage herself.
Smiling, the mother and daughter duo appeared to be having a ball on their day out.
Jessica also seems to have started dressing for her burgeoning baby bump.
In a floaty floral dress, a comfortable cardigan and flat leather boots, she looked cosy and relaxed for the cooler Californian conditions.
And her daughter looked adorable, sporting her favourite beige swing coat paired with a some pink velour leggings and a pair of Mary Janes.
Jessica looked radiant with her pregnancy glow as she went make-up free for the outing.
She also squeezed in some work hours at the Radium/Reel FX studios in Santa Monica.
Sipping on a cool beverage, the 29-year-old looked a little glum to be back on the job.
The actress' focus is certainly more on her family of late.
Alba revealed that she was expecting her second child via Facebook this Thursday.
And since announcing the the big news, Jessica and her husband Cash Warren, have been unable to contain their excitement.
Before signing off Twitter the same night, Jessica wrote to her fans: 'Ok ya'll...have a great night. And again I can't thank you enough for all of the wonderful messages you sent me today.
Father-to-be Cash was also thrilled tweeting: 'Can't tell you how much the positive tweets mean. Smiles from ear to ear. lots of love back at cha.'
Rather than releasing a statement through her management, Jessica used the social networking site to announce her happy news.
Helping hand: At one point Jessica went to give her little girl a hand with the luggage, but Honour appeared determined to do it herself
I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news - Honor is going to be a Big Sister!' she wrote yesterday.
'Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else.
'I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around.'
This morning the happy family all went out together for a spot of breakfast in Beverly Hills.
Happy family: Jessica and her husband Cash Warren took Honor out for breakfast this morning
Honor wore a similar army green jacket to her father Cash on the outing.
After their meal, they headed to an art gallery to pick up a new framed piece of art.
Jessica and Cash met on the set of The Fantastic Four in 2004 and got engaged three years later after learning of the surprise pregnancy she had with daughter, Honor.
They wed at the Beverly Hills courthouse in May 2008 and welcomed Honor at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles two months later.
When asked in November how having a baby had altered her relationship with Cash, she replied: 'We’re a lot closer.
Mother and daughter love: Jessica doted on Honor during their morning outing today smiling and laughing with the toddler
'We didn’t plan on starting a family so soon but when it happened we realised what a beautiful moment it was.'
Motherhood has changed her focus from career to family.
'Having my daughter has certainly shifted my priorities,' she has said.
'It’s all about giving her the best life possible, and that means finding that right balance between being home and working when I can, rather than being so career driven.'
