Heartbreak: Amanda Holden, pictured in Birmingham last Monday, has lost her unborn baby
Amanda Holden is devastated after losing her unborn baby.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, 39, was seven months pregnant with a boy when she suffered problems this week.
The actress was rushed to hospital in West London on Tuesday when the baby stopped moving.
Despite attempts by doctors to save the baby, Holden's son was later stillborn.
Holden's spokesperson Alison Griffin said: 'They are utterly devastated. Amanda had been closely monitored throughout her pregnancy and it is not yet known what went wrong.
'Both Chris and Amanda would like to thank the midwives and staff at The Queen Mary Maternity unit at West Middlesex Hospital Isleworth for their tremendous support.'
The tragic news comes amidst Holden's judging duties for the fifth series of Britain's Got Talent.
Tragic: Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes were looking forward to expanding their family
Last Monday, she attended the last round of auditions in Birmingham with fellow judges David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre.
Holden and her husband Chris Hughes only announced her pregnancy just four weeks ago. She was due in March.
When she announced she was expecting her second child on January 2, she also revealed she had suffered a miscarriage last May.
Her miscarriage prompted her to wait so long until announcing her most recent pregnancy.

Support: Ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton sent her prayers to Amanda and Chris
Paying their respects tonight included Holden's actress friend Lisa Faulkner, comedian James Corden, ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton, TV presenters Lorraine Kelly and Davina McCall.

In an interview with the News Of The World last month, Holden spoke about her miscarriage for the first time: 'It was without doubt the blackest period of my life.
'I have such a charmed and lovely life and I just never imagined I would miscarry a baby. Never. You never think it might happen to you.
'Something went wrong. I certainly wasn't expecting anything to but sometimes Mother Nature lets you down.
'I was an absolute mess. Poor Chris was too but he was amazing.'
Condolences: TV presenter Lorraine Kelly sent her love to the couple
Shock: TV presenter Davina McCall spoke of her sadness at hearing the tragic news
The couple are also parents to daughter Alexa, aka Lexi, who turned five last month.
The former Cutting It actress married music executive Hughes at Babington House in Somerset in December 2008 after a five year courtship.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2004, but delayed their wedding after Holden fell pregnant with Alexa, who was born in January 2006.
Holden's tragic news comes three months after pop star Lily Allen also lost her child when she was six months pregnant.
Two years ago, Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh tragically gave birth to her son Archie 18 weeks early and he died moments after birth.
